Herb and Onion Meat Patties
Ingredients:
- 500g ground meat (beef or lamb)
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
- Preparation: In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Form Patties: Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each into a round patty.
- Cooking Option 1 (Pan-Fried): Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place the patties in the skillet, and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
- Cooking Option 2 (Oven-Baked): Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through, until cooked thoroughly.

Ingredients:
- Prepared meat patties from Recipe 1
- 2 cups tomato sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Prepare Meat Patties: Use the patties prepared from Recipe 1.
- Layering: In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of tomato sauce. Arrange the cooked meat patties over the sauce. Cover the patties with the remaining tomato sauce.
- Add Cheese: Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the top.
- Bake: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the casserole for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are slightly browned.
