Ingredients:

For the Meatballs:
  • Ground beef or pork: 500g
  • Breadcrumbs: 1/2 cup
  • Parmesan cheese: 1/4 cup (grated)
  • Egg: 1
  • Garlic: 2 cloves (minced)
  • Salt and pepper: To taste
  • Parsley: 2 tablespoons (chopped)
For the Sauce:
  • Butter: 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic: 2 cloves (minced)
  • Flour: 2 tablespoons
  • Chicken or beef stock: 2 cups
  • Heavy cream: 1 cup
  • Parmesan cheese: 1/2 cup (grated)
  • Salt and pepper: To taste
For the Pasta:
  • Pasta: 300g (e.g., macaroni, penne, or rigatoni)
  • Parsley: For garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Meatballs:
    • In a large bowl, mix ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and parsley.
    • Form the mixture into small, bite-sized meatballs.
    • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the meatballs until browned on all sides. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Pasta:
    • Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
    • Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
    • Gradually whisk in the stock, ensuring no lumps form.
    • Add heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Combine:
    • Add the cooked meatballs to the sauce and let simmer for 5–7 minutes to absorb flavors.
    • Mix the cooked pasta into the creamy sauce and gently toss to combine.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve in bowls, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
