Ingredients:

- 1 can (14 oz or 397g) condensed milk
- 2 tbsp golden syrup or corn syrup
- For the Chocolate Topping:
- 1 1/2 cups (265g) dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup (112g) unsalted butter
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Shortbread:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Gradually mix in the flour until the mixture is crumbly but holds together when pressed.
- Press the dough evenly into the prepared dish, and prick with a fork.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden. Let cool.
2. Make the Caramel:
- In a medium saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, condensed milk, and golden syrup.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Continue cooking and stirring for about 5 minutes or until the mixture thickens.
- Pour the caramel over the cooled shortbread base and let set.
3. Prepare the Chocolate Topping:
- Melt the chocolate and butter together in a saucepan over low heat or in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
