Tomato, Avocado, and Mozzarella Salad
Ingredients:
- 200g cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 large avocado, peeled and sliced
- 150g fresh mozzarella balls
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- A handful of fresh basil leaves, chopped (optional)
- Dried oregano, to taste
Instructions:
- Prepare the Ingredients: Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half. Slice the avocado and red onion. If the mozzarella balls are large, you can cut them in half to make them bite-sized.
- Assemble the Salad: In a large salad bowl, combine the halved tomatoes, avocado slices, mozzarella balls, and sliced red onion.
- Dress the Salad: Drizzle the olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the salad. Season with salt, black pepper, and dried oregano to taste. Gently toss everything together to coat the ingredients evenly with the dressing.
- Add Fresh Herbs: Sprinkle chopped basil over the top for a burst of freshness if desired.
- Serve: Serve immediately, or chill in the refrigerator for about an hour before serving to let the flavors meld.
