Classic Banana Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup (100g) sugar
- 1/2 cup (120ml) vegetable oil or melted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat and Prepare:
- Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
- Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Mix Wet Ingredients:
- In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas, sugar, oil (or butter), eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Combine Dry Ingredients:
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine Wet and Dry:
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir just until combined. If using nuts or chocolate chips, fold them in now.
- Bake:
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve:
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Tips:
- For extra flavor, sprinkle a bit of cinnamon into the batter.
- Serve warm with butter for an indulgent treat!
