Stuffed Potato Patties with Meat Filling
Ingredients:
For the Potato Dough:

- 500g potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup flour (or as needed)
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Filling:
- 250g ground beef or lamb
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley or cilantro
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
For Frying:
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions:
- Prepare the Potato Dough:
- Mash the boiled potatoes with butter, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Gradually add flour, kneading until you form a soft, pliable dough. Set aside.
- Make the Filling:
- Heat olive oil in a skillet. Sauté onions and garlic until fragrant.
- Add ground meat, cooking until browned and fully cooked.
- Stir in paprika, cumin, salt, pepper, and parsley. Let cool.
- Assemble the Patties:
- Take a small ball of potato dough and flatten it into a circle.
- Place a spoonful of meat filling in the center. Cover with another circle of dough, sealing the edges.
- Cook the Patties:
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the patties until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve:
- Serve hot with a side of salad or yogurt dip.
Tips:
- For extra flavor, add grated cheese to the filling.
- These patties can be baked instead of fried for a healthier option.
