Ingredients

- 300g (10.5 oz) tea biscuits or digestive cookies, crushed into small pieces
- 100g (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
- 100g (1/2 cup) granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 100g (3.5 oz) chopped nuts (e.g., hazelnuts, almonds, or walnuts) (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For the chocolate coating:
- 200g (7 oz) milk chocolate, melted
- 50g (1.75 oz) chopped nuts or crushed peanuts (for coating, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the biscuit mixture:
- Crush the biscuits into small pieces (but not into powder) and place them in a large mixing bowl. Add the chopped nuts if using.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter, sugar, and cocoa powder together, stirring until smooth.
- Add the milk and vanilla extract to the mixture and stir until well combined. Remove from heat.
- Combine:
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the crushed biscuits and mix well until all the pieces are evenly coated.
- Shape the bars:
- Transfer the mixture onto a sheet of parchment paper or cling film. Shape it into a rectangular block or log, pressing it firmly to remove air gaps.
- Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
- Coat with chocolate:
- Once the biscuit block is firm, slice it into bars or desired shapes.
- Melt the milk chocolate in a microwave or over a double boiler. Dip each bar into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated.

- Chill and serve:
- Place the coated bars on a tray lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate until the chocolate hardens.
