  • 1 package sugar-free instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk (use skim or almond milk for a lighter option)
  • 1 package sugar-free caramel pudding mix
  • 1 cup sugar-free whipped topping
  • Sugar-free caramel sauce (for drizzling)

Instructions:

Prepare the Cake:
  1. Bake the chocolate cake according to package instructions using a sugar substitute suitable for baking. Once baked, allow to cool, then crumble the cake into small pieces.
Chocolate Pudding Layer:
  1. In a bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and milk until it thickens. Let it sit until it’s set.
Caramel Pudding Layer:
  1. Prepare the caramel pudding similarly to the chocolate pudding, using milk. Allow it to set.
Assembly:
  1. In a large glass trifle bowl, start by placing a layer of crumbled chocolate cake at the bottom.
  2. Next, add a layer of chocolate pudding, followed by a layer of whipped topping.
  3. Drizzle some sugar-free caramel sauce over the whipped topping.
  4. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a final layer of whipped topping.
  5. Create a decorative pattern on top with caramel sauce, if desired.
Serving:
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving to let the flavors meld together.

This recipe provides the decadence of a rich dessert but keeps a close eye on the sugar content, making it a more suitable option if you’re managing diabetes. Enjoy the treat
