Cheesy Garlic Bread Rolls
Ingredients:
For the Dough:
- 2 ½ cups (320g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- ¾ cup (180ml) warm milk
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 egg (optional, for richness)
For the Garlic Butter Topping:
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
- ¼ cup grated mozzarella cheese (optional)
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Gradually add the warm milk and melted butter. If using an egg, mix it in as well.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise for about 1-2 hours or until it doubles in size.
Step 2: Shape the Rolls
- Punch down the dough and divide it into small equal portions (about 8-10 pieces).
- Roll each portion into a smooth ball and place them close together on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Let the rolls rise again for about 30 minutes until puffed up.
Step 3: Prepare the Garlic Butter Topping
- Mix melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley in a small bowl. You can also add mozzarella cheese for a cheesy topping.
- Brush this mixture generously over the risen rolls.
Step 4: Bake
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 5: Serve
- Brush more garlic butter over the hot rolls for extra flavor.
- Serve warm and enjoy your soft, cheesy, and garlicky bread rolls!
