Perfect Homemade Sausage Rolls Recipe
Ingredients:
- 500g sausage meat or minced beef
- 1 packet of puff pastry (pre-rolled or block, thawed if frozen)
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional seasonings: garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, or dried herbs
- Sesame seeds or black seeds (optional, for topping)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Filling:
- Mix sausage meat with salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings. Ensure it’s evenly combined.
- Prepare the Puff Pastry:
- Roll out the puff pastry (if needed) and cut it into rectangular strips.
- Assemble the Rolls:
- Place a portion of the meat mixture along the center of each pastry strip.
- Fold the pastry over the filling and seal by pressing the edges together. Use a fork for a decorative seal, if desired.
