Chocolate-Glazed Cheesecake Recipe

 

 

Ingredients:

For the crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup melted butter

For the cheesecake:

  • 3 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs

For the chocolate glaze:

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Make the crust:
    • Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
    • Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the cheesecake filling:
    • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
    • Add eggs one at a time, beating just until blended.
    • Pour the filling over the crust in the springform pan.
  4. Bake the cheesecake:
    • Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the center is set.
    • Once done, turn off the oven and let the cheesecake sit in the oven with the door ajar for 1 hour.
    • Remove from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
  5. Prepare the chocolate glaze:
    • In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream just to a boil.
    • Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until smooth and glossy.
    • Let the glaze cool slightly before pouring over the cooled cheesecake.
  6. Chill the cheesecake:
    • Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  7. Serve:
    • Once set, remove the cheesecake from the pan, slice, and serve.
