Lemon Herb Grilled Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 lemons, one juiced and one sliced for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (such as oregano or thyme) for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Chicken:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, thyme, basil, salt, and pepper.
    • Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Make sure all pieces are evenly coated.
    • Refrigerate and let marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
  2. Preheat the Grill:
    • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Ensure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.
  3. Grill the Chicken:
    • Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting the excess drip off. Discard the leftover marinade.
    • Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the juices run clear.
  4. Serve:
    • Serve the grilled chicken hot, garnished with lemon slices and fresh herbs.
    • Squeeze additional lemon over the chicken just before serving for extra zest.

This grilled chicken recipe is straightforward and quick, making it perfect for a weeknight dinner or a weekend BBQ. The lemon and herbs provide a fresh and bright flavor that enhances the natural taste of the chicken. Enjoy your meal with a side of grilled vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete dining experience!
