cheesy tortilla
Ingredients:
- 6 large flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or any preferred melting cheese)
- Optional fillings:
- Cooked chicken, shredded
- Sautéed vegetables (peppers, onions, mushrooms)
- Sliced olives
- Cooked ground beef or sausage
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Butter or olive oil (for brushing)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Tortillas:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- If tortillas are not pliable, heat them slightly in the microwave or on a hot skillet for a few seconds to make them easier to shape.
2. Assemble the Cones:
- Cut each tortilla into quarters to create triangular pieces.
- Place a generous amount of shredded cheese (and any other fillings you like) along the wider end of each triangle.
- Carefully roll each triangle from the wide end to the pointed tip to form a cone, ensuring the filling stays inside.
3. Prepare for Baking:
- Place the cones point side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Lightly brush the outside of each cone with melted butter or olive oil to help them turn golden and crispy.
4. Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the tortillas are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
5. Garnish and Serve:
- Sprinkle chopped parsley over the baked cones for a fresh, herby flavor.
- Serve warm as a snack or alongside a meal.
These cheesy tortilla cones are perfect for parties or as a fun alternative to the usual quesadillas or tacos. They’re customizable with any fillings you prefer, making them a versatile option for any taste preference. Enjoy your cooking
