Ingredients

  • 2 cups pecans, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup soft caramels
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2 cups milk or dark chocolate, melted

  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • Extra pecans for topping

Preparation

First, line a baking tray with parchment paper. Toast the pecans in a dry pan for a few minutes until they smell warm and nutty. This step gives the bites a deeper flavor and a better crunch.

In a small saucepan, place the soft caramels, heavy cream, and butter. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the caramel becomes smooth and creamy. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
