Strawberry Jelly Cream Tart

Introduction

Strawberry Jelly Cream Tart is a fresh, colorful, and delicious dessert made with a crisp tart base, smooth cream filling, sweet strawberries, and a shiny strawberry jelly topping. It is perfect for summer parties, family gatherings, holidays, or any occasion that needs a beautiful homemade dessert.

Ingredients

For the Tart Base

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2–3 tablespoons cold water
  • A pinch of salt

For the Cream Filling

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon butter

For the Strawberry Topping

  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 packet strawberry jelly
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/2 cup cold water

Preparation

First, prepare the tart base. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt. Add the cold butter and rub it into the flour until the mixture looks like crumbs. Add the egg and vanilla, then mix gently. Add cold water little by little until a soft dough forms.

Wrap the dough and chill it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. After chilling, roll it out and place it in a rectangular tart pan or baking tray. Press it gently into the corners and trim the edges.

Bake the crust at 180°C / 350°F for 15–20 minutes, or until lightly golden. Let it cool completely.

To make the cream filling, heat the milk in a saucepan. In a separate bowl, whisk sugar, cornstarch, and egg yolks. Slowly add the warm milk while mixing. Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat until thick and creamy. Add vanilla and butter, then stir well.

Spread the cream evenly over the cooled tart crust. Arrange the sliced strawberries on top in an even layer.

Prepare the strawberry jelly by mixing the jelly powder with hot water until dissolved. Add cold water and let it cool slightly, but do not let it set completely. Pour the jelly carefully over the strawberries.

Place the tart in the refrigerator for at least 3–4 hours until the jelly is firm.

Serving

Cut the tart into squares and serve chilled. It is delicious with whipped cream, tea, coffee, or fresh juice.

Conclusion

This Strawberry Jelly Cream Tart is a beautiful and refreshing dessert with a perfect balance of crispy crust, soft cream, juicy strawberries, and sweet jelly. It is simple, elegant, and ideal for sharing with family and friends.
