Prepare a pan in the preheated oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F or 175°C. Prepare a 9-inch springform pan by oiling or lining it with parchment paper.
To prepare the dry ingredients, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl. Take the mixture. Put aside.
Cream Beat the sugar and softened butter in a large bowl until the mixture is smooth and thick. You can use a hand mixer or stand mixer for this.
Add the flavors and eggs: Add the eggs one by one and beat until well mixed. Add orange zest and vanilla extract and mix.
Use an alternative yogurt or a mixture of sour cream and orange juice and gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture. Dry ingredients should be added in two batches, mixing each batch until new is added. Mix gently to prevent lumps.
To bake the cake, use a spatula to spread it evenly into the prepared pan. When you tap the pan on the counter, bad air comes out. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
