Sausage Gravy and Biscuit Pie Recipe

Ingredients:

1 pound gravy
2 cups milk
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
8 biscuits (pre-made or homemade)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 tea spoon
1/2 teaspoon ground sage
You can add 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper to make it even more delicious.

Preparation:

Cook the sauce in a large pan over medium heat until it thickens, breaking it into small pieces while cooking.
After adding the flour and mixing, cook the sauce for two minutes.
Slowly pour in the milk, whisking constantly. Increase the heat to high and let the mixture boil. Then reduce the heat and simmer for about five minutes or until the sauce thickens completely. To finish, add ground sage, black pepper and salt to the sauce. If desired, red pepper powder can be added as spice.
Preheat your oven to 190°C.
Place cookies in a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.

Pour the sausage mixture over the biscuits and make sure they are well coated.
Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until cookies are golden brown.
Serve the sausage, gravy and biscuit pie hot and enjoy!
