Honey Garlic Glazed Pork Chops
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Glaze:
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tsp water (optional, for thickening)
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions:
- Prepare the Pork Chops:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- Sear the Pork Chops:
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Glaze:
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the honey, soy sauce, chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, and Dijon mustard. Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a simmer.
- If you prefer a thicker glaze, add the cornstarch mixture to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Bake the Pork Chops:
- Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning some of the glaze over the top.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Finish and Serve:
- Remove the skillet from the oven and let the pork chops rest for a few minutes.
- Spoon additional glaze over the pork chops before serving.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
- Enjoy:
- Serve the honey garlic glazed pork chops with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a fresh salad.
This honey garlic glaze adds a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors to the tender pork chops, making them a delightful and satisfying meal. Enjoy!
