Chocolate-Covered Nutty Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts (such as walnuts, almonds, or pecans)
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 2 cups milk chocolate, melted
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Dough:
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped nuts and chocolate chips.
- Shape the Cookies:
- Scoop out dough balls (about 1 tablespoon each) and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Flatten each dough ball slightly with the palm of your hand.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool completely on a wire rack.
- Coat with Chocolate:
- Once the cookies are completely cooled, dip each cookie into the melted milk chocolate, covering them entirely. Place the chocolate-covered cookies on a sheet of parchment paper to set.
- Serve:
- Once the chocolate coating has set, the cookies are ready to be enjoyed. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
