“Succulent Grilled Chicken Drumsticks”
Ingredients:
- 10 chicken drumsticks
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon smoked chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (like parsley or cilantro) for garnish
Instructions:
- Marinate the Chicken:
- In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic, soy sauce, ketchup, honey, apple cider vinegar, paprika, smoked chili powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the chicken drumsticks to the marinade and toss to coat evenly.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for the flavors to meld.
- Preheat the Grill:
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If you’re using a charcoal grill, wait until the coals are uniformly ashed over.
- Grill the Chicken:
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting excess drip off. Place the drumsticks on the grill.
- Grill the chicken, turning every 5 minutes, until the meat is cooked through and the skin is crispy, about 25-30 minutes. An instant-read thermometer should read 165°F (74°C) when inserted into the thickest part of a drumstick.
- Serve:
- Transfer the grilled drumsticks to a platter and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Garnish with freshly chopped herbs before serving.
