Ingredients:

- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling or fresh cherries if available
- 1 cup whipped cream

Instructions:
- Prepare the Crust:
- In a mixing bowl, combine crushed chocolate cookies or graham crackers with melted butter.
- Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Chill in the refrigerator while preparing the filling.
- Prepare the Cream Filling:
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Fold in the whipped cream until well combined.
- Stir in the mini chocolate chips.
- Spread the cream filling evenly over the chilled crust.
- Add the Cherry Topping:
- If using cherry pie filling, spread it evenly over the cream filling.
- If using fresh cherries, pit and halve them, then arrange them over the cream filling.
- Top with Whipped Cream:
- Spread the whipped cream over the cherry layer.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings or chips.
- Add Fresh Cherries:
- Decorate the top with fresh cherries for an extra touch of elegance.
- Chill the Dessert:
- Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours or until set.
