Pineapple Dole Whip

Ingredients:

  • Frozen pineapple chunks: 4 cups
  • Vanilla ice cream: 1/2 cup (optional for creaminess, can be substituted with coconut milk for a dairy-free option)
  • Pineapple juice: 1/2 cup
  • Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar: 1 tablespoon (optional, adjust to taste)
  • Coconut milk: 1/4 cup (optional for a tropical twist)

Instructions:

  1. Blend the ingredients: In a high-powered blender or food processor, combine the frozen pineapple chunks, vanilla ice cream (or coconut milk), pineapple juice, lemon juice, and sugar. Blend until smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed.
  2. Adjust consistency: If the mixture is too thick to blend, you can add a little more pineapple juice or coconut milk until you reach the desired consistency. It should be thick and smooth, similar to soft-serve ice cream.
  3. Serve immediately: Spoon the Dole Whip into a piping bag with a star tip for a more authentic presentation, and swirl it into bowls or cups. If you don’t have a piping bag, you can also scoop it directly into serving dishes.
  4. Optional freezing step: If you prefer a firmer texture, you can freeze the mixture for about 30 minutes to an hour before serving.
  5. Enjoy: Serve the Pineapple Dole Whip immediately and enjoy the refreshing, tropical flavor!

This treat is perfect for a hot day or whenever you’re craving something light, fruity, and creamy. If you’re interested in trying other flavors or variations, feel free to ask!
