Baked Broccoli Cheese Balls Recipe
When these balls came out of the oven, the whole family devoured 3 trays!
2 cups finely chopped broccoli florets
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese

1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 eggs
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/ 2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking spray for greasing
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly greased aluminum foil.
Steam broccoli florets until crisp and tender, about 3-5 minutes. Allow to cool and then chop finely.

In a large bowl, combine broccoli, breadcrumbs, cheddar cheese, Parmesan, eggs, flour, garlic powder and onion powder.Season with salt and pepper and mix well.
Form balls with a diameter of 2.5 cm from the mixture and place them on the baking tray.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and firm.
Allow to cool slightly before serving to avoid a hot surprise.
Variations and tips:
Replace the breadcrumbs with a gluten-free alternative.Experiment with different cheeses like mozzarella for stretch or pepper jack for a spicy touch.
These cheese balls can be made in advance and frozen. Simply freeze on a baking sheet and then transfer to a freezer bag. Bake from frozen, adding a few minutes to the baking time.
For an extra nutritional boost, add additional vegetables such as grated carrots or chopped spinach
