Honey Garlic Herb-Glazed Chicken
Ingredients:
- 2 large chicken breasts (boneless or bone-in)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary (chopped) or 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the chicken:
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel.
- Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
- Sear the chicken:
- Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from heat.
- Make the glaze:
- In a small bowl, mix the honey, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, rosemary, and thyme.
- Glaze the chicken:
- Pour the glaze over the seared chicken in the skillet, ensuring it’s well coated.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
- Bake the chicken:
- Bake for 20-25 minutes (depending on the thickness of the chicken), basting with the glaze once or twice during cooking.
- Check that the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) before removing from the oven.
- Garnish and serve:
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes after baking.
- Spoon extra glaze from the skillet over the chicken and garnish with additional fresh rosemary.
