Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Tenders
Ingredients:
- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 8-10 slices of bacon
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar (optional, for a touch of sweetness)
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
- Season the Chicken:
- In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Season the chicken tenders evenly with the spice mixture.
- Wrap with Bacon:
- Wrap each chicken tender with a slice of bacon. If the bacon slices are too long, you can trim them to fit.
- If using, sprinkle a little brown sugar over each bacon-wrapped tender for a sweet and savory combination.
- Bake:
- Place the bacon-wrapped chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the chicken is cooked through.
- For extra crispy bacon, you can broil the chicken tenders for an additional 2-3 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
- Serve:
- Remove from the oven and let the chicken tenders rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or barbecue sauce.
