Baked donuts filled with Nutella
Ingredients
DONUT MATERIAL:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
A pinch of salt
¼ cup melted unsalted butter (½ tablespoon for greasing the pan and 3.5 tablespoons for the dough)
2 ½ tablespoons Sugar
¼ teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Egg
¾ teaspoon Vanilla
7 tablespoons Milk
FILLING AND TOPPING:
¾ cup Nutella (8 ounces or 220 grams)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
¼ Sugar or light brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon (more or less to taste)
INSTRUCTIONS
Line the donut tin with plastic wrap. Place Nutella in a piping bag (or zip-top bag) and snip off the corner.Place Nutella in the center of each cavity to form a ring, then place in the freezer until completely solid. Remove the Nutella rings from the pan, place them on a plate, and place them back in the freezer until you are ready to assemble the donuts.
Preheat oven to 350F. Brush the donut pan with melted butter and set aside.

In a small bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder and salt.In another bowl, stir together the rest of the melted butter (3 ½ tablespoons) and 2 ½ tablespoons. Sugar. Add cinnamon, vanilla, egg and milk and stir. Add the flour mixture.Place the mixture in a piping bag (or a zip-top bag and snip the corner). Fill the donut pan with half of the dough. Take the Nutella rings out of the freezer and place them on top. Cover Nutella with the remaining dough.
Bake for 13 to 15 minutes or until golden brown and firm to the touch.Cool the donuts in the pan for 5 minutes, then turn them out onto a rack.
Mix cinnamon and sugar in a bowl.
Melt 2 tbsp. Butter.
Brush each donut with melted butter, then dip into the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
