There’s something deliciously decadent about a cheese ball surrounded by butter crackers. It can make any moment seem like a fun celebration! Because we have so much to deal with in our daily lives, it’s the little moments when we take the time to enjoy each other that turn delicious food into an opportunity for gratitude and good times. With the meaty, cheesy flavors of this ground beef and cream cheese ball, we want to give you and your loved ones such a party. We know first hand that
is a crowd favorite – it was devoured as soon as we put it on the table! The Worcestershire sauce awakens your taste buds and the bright bite of the scallions spreads throughout, finely diced so that they complement rather than overwhelm this delicious combination. We love how the bright green of the onion and the reddish color of the meat look so festive against the white of the cream cheese. Ground beef was a new introduction for us, although it’s definitely not new! Ground beef was once an ingredient and was used in the military and during times of famine beginning in the 1930s. Speaking of lean meat: The meat is sliced very thinly and is also pressed, dried, salted and cured so that it can be stored in a can or jar for a while.Dried beef, sausages or cured salami are great alternatives to minced meat. After all, there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to a cheese ball! As you shop this short list of ingredients, keep in mind that not all brands of beef jerky are labeled as “ground beef.” Some brands say “dried” or “cured” meat, and that works well. It’s all about enjoying this festive dish and sharing it with important people!Cheese Balls with Ground Beef
