Cheesy Bacon Hash Brown Casserole

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 (30 oz) bag frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon (about 8 slices)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven:
    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the Casserole Mixture:
    • In a large bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and chopped onion.
    • In another bowl, mix the sour cream, cream of chicken soup, melted butter, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.
  3. Combine and Bake:
    • Pour the sour cream mixture over the hash brown mixture and stir until everything is evenly coated.
    • Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Bake the Casserole:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly, and the top is golden brown.
  5. Serve:
    • Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
