Cheesy Beef and Mushroom Pie

- 1 pre-made pie crust (or homemade if you prefer)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the pie crust in a pie dish and crimp the edges. Set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and start to brown.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes to combine the flavors.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the heavy cream.
- Spread the beef and mushroom mixture evenly into the prepared pie crust.
- In a bowl, mix the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses together. Sprinkle the cheese mixture over the top of the beef and mushroom filling.
- Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
- Let the pie cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
