Cheesy Garlic Bread Rolls

 

 

 

Ingredients:

For the Dough:

  • 2 ½ cups (320g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • ¾ cup (180ml) warm milk
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 egg (optional, for richness)

For the Garlic Butter Topping:

  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup grated mozzarella cheese (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Gradually add the warm milk and melted butter. If using an egg, mix it in as well.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise for about 1-2 hours or until it doubles in size.

Step 2: Shape the Rolls

  1. Punch down the dough and divide it into small equal portions (about 8-10 pieces).
  2. Roll each portion into a smooth ball and place them close together on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  3. Let the rolls rise again for about 30 minutes until puffed up.

Step 3: Prepare the Garlic Butter Topping

  1. Mix melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley in a small bowl. You can also add mozzarella cheese for a cheesy topping.
  2. Brush this mixture generously over the risen rolls.

Step 4: Bake

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 5: Serve

  • Brush more garlic butter over the hot rolls for extra flavor.
  • Serve warm and enjoy your soft, cheesy, and garlicky bread rolls!
