Ingredients:
For the crust and topping:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
For the filling:
- 2 cans (21 oz each) cherry pie filling
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
For the icing drizzle:

- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Prepare the crust and topping:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, butter, sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract (if using), baking powder, and salt. Mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
2. Assemble the base layer:
- Press two-thirds of the mixture into the prepared baking pan to create an even base.
3. Add the cherry filling:
- In a separate bowl, mix the cherry pie filling with almond extract (if using) for extra flavor. Spread the filling evenly over the crust.
4. Add the topping:
- Crumble the remaining dough mixture over the cherry layer.

6. Drizzle with icing:
