Chocolate Brownie Trifle Recipe

Ingredients:
1 box of your favorite brownie mix (plus the ingredients listed on the box, replacing water with brewed coffee)
1 package (3.9 oz) Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix
2 cups cold milk

1 cup brewed coffee, chilled
2 cups heavy cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Chocolate shavings or curls for decoration

Optional: caramel chips, chocolate chips or strawberries/raspberries for added Layers
Instructions:
Prepare brownies as directed on package, using brewed coffee instead of water.After baking, let them cool and then cut them into 1-inch squares.
Mix the chocolate pudding mixture with cold milk until smooth. Let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
Beat the whipped cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff, being careful not to over-beat.

Place the brownie squares in the bottom of a large, clear plate.Pour half of the pudding over the brownies, followed by a layer of whipped cream.
Repeat the layers and finish with a generous amount of whipped cream.
Garnish with chocolate shavings and, if desired, other toppings such as caramel chips, chocolate chips or fruit.
Allow the cake to cool for at least 2 hours before serving.
