Classic Banana Bread Recipe

 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup (100g) sugar
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat and Prepare:
    • Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
    • Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients:
    • In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas, sugar, oil (or butter), eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients:
    • In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Combine Wet and Dry:
    • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir just until combined. If using nuts or chocolate chips, fold them in now.
  5. Bake:
    • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
    • Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool and Serve:
    • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Tips:

  • For extra flavor, sprinkle a bit of cinnamon into the batter.
  • Serve warm with butter for an indulgent treat!
