Creamy Beef and Penne Pasta

 

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Cook the Pasta:

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. Cook the Beef:

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the chopped onion and red bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

3. Make the Sauce:

  • Add the beef broth to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for a few minutes until slightly reduced.
  • Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Stir in the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Add the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.

4. Combine and Serve:

  • Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta with the creamy beef sauce.
  • Cook for a few minutes until everything is heated through and well combined.
  • Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
