Creamy Cheese Lasagna
Ingredients:
- Lasagna noodles: 9 sheets (cooked according to package instructions)
- Ricotta cheese: 2 cups
- Cream cheese: 1 cup (softened)
- Shredded mozzarella cheese: 2 cups
- Parmesan cheese: 1 cup (grated)
- Heavy cream: 1/2 cup
- Eggs: 2
- Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
- Parsley: 2 tablespoons (chopped, fresh or dried)
- Salt and pepper: To taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Cheese Filling:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, cream cheese, 1 cup mozzarella, 1/2 cup Parmesan, eggs, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Layer the Lasagna:
- Spread a thin layer of heavy cream or marinara sauce (optional) on the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Place 3 lasagna noodles in the dish, side by side.
- Spread a layer of the cheese mixture evenly over the noodles.
- Repeat this process (noodles, cheese mixture) for 2 more layers, finishing with noodles on top.
- Top with Cheese:
- Spread the remaining heavy cream (or sauce) over the top layer of noodles.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake:
- Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Allow the lasagna to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
