Creamy Cheese Lasagna

 

 

Ingredients:

  • Lasagna noodles: 9 sheets (cooked according to package instructions)
  • Ricotta cheese: 2 cups
  • Cream cheese: 1 cup (softened)
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese: 2 cups
  • Parmesan cheese: 1 cup (grated)
  • Heavy cream: 1/2 cup
  • Eggs: 2
  • Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Parsley: 2 tablespoons (chopped, fresh or dried)
  • Salt and pepper: To taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Cheese Filling:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, cream cheese, 1 cup mozzarella, 1/2 cup Parmesan, eggs, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Layer the Lasagna:
    • Spread a thin layer of heavy cream or marinara sauce (optional) on the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
    • Place 3 lasagna noodles in the dish, side by side.
    • Spread a layer of the cheese mixture evenly over the noodles.
    • Repeat this process (noodles, cheese mixture) for 2 more layers, finishing with noodles on top.
  4. Top with Cheese:
    • Spread the remaining heavy cream (or sauce) over the top layer of noodles.
    • Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
  5. Bake:
    • Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
    • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  6. Garnish and Serve:
    • Allow the lasagna to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
    • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
