Ingredients:
- 1 package sugar-free chocolate cake mix (and required ingredients to bake it)
- 1 package sugar-free instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk (use skim or almond milk for a lighter option)
- 1 package sugar-free caramel pudding mix
- 1 cup sugar-free whipped topping
- Sugar-free caramel sauce (for drizzling)
Instructions:
Prepare the Cake:
- Bake the chocolate cake according to package instructions using a sugar substitute suitable for baking. Once baked, allow to cool, then crumble the cake into small pieces.
Chocolate Pudding Layer:
- In a bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and milk until it thickens. Let it sit until it’s set.
Caramel Pudding Layer:
- Prepare the caramel pudding similarly to the chocolate pudding, using milk. Allow it to set.
Assembly:
- In a large glass trifle bowl, start by placing a layer of crumbled chocolate cake at the bottom.
- Next, add a layer of chocolate pudding, followed by a layer of whipped topping.
- Drizzle some sugar-free caramel sauce over the whipped topping.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a final layer of whipped topping.
