Easy Soup Sausage Muffins
Ingredients:
1 pound breakfast sausage
1 cup Bisquick baking mix
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 eggs
Instructions:
Preheat the oven and prepare the pan: Preheat the oven to 350°F (190°C). heat). Grease or line a 12-cup baking pan with muffin paper so muffins can be easily removed after baking.
Cook sausage: Cook breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until thickened and falling apart. This should take 5-7 minutes. After cooking, remove the sauce from the stove and let it cool slightly.
Mixing Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine hot sauce, Bisquick mix, sharp cheddar cheese, and eggs. Use the mixture until all the ingredients are well combined and you form a dough.
To fill muffin cups: Spoon batter into prepared cups, filling each cup approximately two-thirds full. This ensures the muffins have time to rise before the top cracks.
Baking: Place the muffin tins in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes or until the muffins are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center of the muffin comes out.
Cool and serve: Remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely. These muffins are delicious warm or at room temperature
