Fried Cheesecake
Ingredients:
• 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 cups finely ground graham cracker crumbs
• large egg, beaten
• 1 cup flour
• 1 cup milk
• 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
• Oil for frying
• Powdered sugar
Instructions:
1. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth. mix.
2. Shape the mixture into small balls about 1 inch in diameter and roll them in the graham cracker.
3. Freeze the balls for at least 2 hours.
4. Set up a punching station with three bowls: one for flour, one for scrambled eggs mixed with milk, and one for stretching bread.
5. Dredge each frozen cheesecake ball in flour, dip in egg mixture, then coat in panko breadcrumbs.
6. Place the fried balls in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
7. Heat the oil in a deep iron or large skillet to 175°C.
8. Fry cheesecake balls in batches until golden brown, 2-3 minutes.
9. Before serving, remove with kitchen paper and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
