Garlic Shrimp Pasta
How to Make Garlic Shrimp Pasta
Ingredients:
1.5 pounds U16-20 shrimp
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 pound linguine pasta

2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
5 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1/2 cup white wine
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup fresh chopped parsley
lemon zest for garnish
freshly grated parmesan for garnish

Instructions:
Melt butter and olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Season the shrimp with salt, pepper and garlic powder, fry the shrimp for 2 minutes on each side and remove.
Cook pasta in salted water for 1-2 minutes according to package instructions so that it is very al dente.
In the same pan as the prawns, fry the garlic and chilli flakes for 30 seconds, increase the heat to high and add the white wine and lemon juice. Season with black pepper. Add 1/2 cup pasta water and let it reduce by about a third. Then add the very al dente pasta directly to the pan.Add a drizzle of olive oil and toss the pasta until the sauce thickens and emulsifies and the pasta is cooked to your liking (about 3-4 minutes).
Add the shrimp and parsley to the pasta along with a piece of butter. Stir until coated, adding more pasta water as needed.
Top with fresh parsley, lemon zest and grated Parmesan. Serve with warm bread and enjoy.
