Golden Baked Cake
Ingredients:
For the Cake:
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened 🧈
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs 🥚
- 1 cup whole milk 🥛
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt 🧂
For the Golden Glaze (Optional):
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons melted butter 🧈
- 1 tablespoon honey 🍯
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Cream Butter & Sugar: In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Eggs & Vanilla: Mix in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Combine: Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, until smooth.
- Bake: Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool: Let the cake cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Glaze (Optional): Whisk together glaze ingredients and drizzle over the cooled cake.
