Grilled Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich
Ingredients:
- 4 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or your favorite type)
- 4 tablespoons peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
- 4 tablespoons jelly or jam (grape, strawberry, or your favorite flavor)
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
Instructions:
- Assemble the Sandwiches:
- Spread 2 tablespoons of peanut butter evenly on one side of each of two slices of bread.
- Spread 2 tablespoons of jelly or jam on one side of each of the other two slices of bread.
- Press one peanut butter slice and one jelly slice together to form a sandwich. Repeat for the second sandwich.
- Butter the Bread:
- Spread softened butter on the outside of each slice of bread. This will help create a golden, crispy exterior when grilled.
- Grill the Sandwiches:
- Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat.
- Place the sandwiches in the skillet, buttered side down.
- Cook until the bread is golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Carefully flip the sandwiches and cook the other side until golden brown and the peanut butter and jelly are warm and gooey, another 2-3 minutes.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them cool slightly before cutting in half.
- Serve warm and enjoy the melty goodness of a grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
