Grilled Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich

 

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or your favorite type)
  • 4 tablespoons peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
  • 4 tablespoons jelly or jam (grape, strawberry, or your favorite flavor)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened

Instructions:

  1. Assemble the Sandwiches:
    • Spread 2 tablespoons of peanut butter evenly on one side of each of two slices of bread.
    • Spread 2 tablespoons of jelly or jam on one side of each of the other two slices of bread.
    • Press one peanut butter slice and one jelly slice together to form a sandwich. Repeat for the second sandwich.
  2. Butter the Bread:
    • Spread softened butter on the outside of each slice of bread. This will help create a golden, crispy exterior when grilled.
  3. Grill the Sandwiches:
    • Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat.
    • Place the sandwiches in the skillet, buttered side down.
    • Cook until the bread is golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Carefully flip the sandwiches and cook the other side until golden brown and the peanut butter and jelly are warm and gooey, another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them cool slightly before cutting in half.
    • Serve warm and enjoy the melty goodness of a grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
