HAWAIIAN PINEAPPLE CAKE
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
pinch of salt
1 20-ounce can crushed pineapple (undrained) in its own juice, not syrup
1 cup chopped Walnuts, optional
Oven at 350 degrees F.
CREAM CHEESE ICE CREAM
1/2 cup butter or 1 stick
1 – 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Coconut for decoration – optional
INSTRUCTIONS :
Mix all cake ingredients in a bowl.
Pour into a greased 9×13-inch pan and bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes (until top is golden brown).
Glaze:
Beat butter, cream cheese and vanilla until creamy.
Gradually add the powdered sugar.Spread the cream cheese frosting on the still warm cake.
Sprinkle with chopped walnuts if desired.
