Ingredients:

For the Meatballs:

  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

For the Sauce:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (400 grams) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp sugar (optional)
  • Fresh basil or parsley, chopped

Other:

  • 500 grams cheese tortellini
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions:

1. Make the Meatballs:

  • In a bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, salt, pepper, and Italian herbs. Mix well.
  • Form into small balls, about an inch in diameter.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the meatballs on all sides. Set aside.

2. Prepare the Sauce:

  • In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  • Add the crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer.
