Homemade Meat Patties

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 500g ground beef or mixed meat (beef and pork)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped or grated
  • 1 medium carrot, grated (optional)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs or soaked bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley or cilantro
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 2-3 tablespoons oil (for frying)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Mixture:
    • In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, eggs, grated onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, and grated carrot (if using).
    • Add chopped parsley, salt, pepper, and paprika.
    • Mix the ingredients thoroughly until the mixture is well-combined and sticky.
  2. Shape the Patties:
    • With wet hands, form the mixture into small, flat patties or meatballs (about 2 inches in diameter).
  3. Cook the Patties:
    • Heat 2-3 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Place the patties in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
    • Remove to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  4. Serve:
    • Serve the meat patties warm with a side of mashed potatoes, rice, salad, or vegetables.

These patties are versatile and can be customized with different herbs, spices, or fillings. You can also bake them at 200°C (400°F) for about 20-25 minutes for a healthier option. Enjoy
