Homemade Pizza Rolls
Ingredients:
- 1 package egg roll wrappers (about 20 wrappers)
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup pepperoni slices, chopped
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Prepare Filling:
- In a medium bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella cheese, chopped pepperoni, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
- Assemble Pizza Rolls:
- Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface.
- Spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of the cheese and pepperoni mixture onto the center of the wrapper.
- Add a small spoonful of marinara sauce on top of the cheese mixture.
- Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll up tightly. Seal the edge with a dab of water.
- Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Bake Pizza Rolls:
- Place the assembled pizza rolls on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops of the rolls with olive oil and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and crispy.
- Serve:
- Allow the pizza rolls to cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
- Serve with additional marinara sauce for dipping.
