Juicy Chicken Patties

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground chicken
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, finely chopped onion, finely chopped red bell pepper, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, dried oregano, paprika, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley.
  2. Mix the Ingredients:
    • Use your hands or a spoon to thoroughly mix the ingredients until well combined.
  3. Shape the Patties:
    • Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into patties. You should get about 6-8 patties depending on the size.
  4. Heat the Oil:
    • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook the Patties:
    • Once the oil is hot, add the patties to the skillet in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
    • Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  6. Serve:
    • Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
    • Serve the chicken patties hot, garnished with additional fresh parsley if desired.

  • These chicken patties can be served with a variety of sides such as a fresh salad, roasted vegetables, or in a bun as a chicken burger.
  • You can also customize the patties by adding your favorite herbs and spices or even a bit of grated cheese for extra flavor.
