Ingredients:
- Graham Cracker Crust:
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- Creamy Filling:
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Chocolate Topping:
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions:
- Prepare the Graham Cracker Crust:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated with butter.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes, then let it cool completely.
- Prepare the Creamy Filling:
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, sweetened condensed milk, granulated sugar, and cornstarch until smooth.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a gentle boil. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then pour it over the cooled graham cracker crust. Spread it evenly.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the filling is fully set.
- Prepare the Chocolate Topping:
- In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat and add the chocolate chips. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes, then stir until smooth and glossy.
- Pour the chocolate topping over the chilled creamy filling, spreading it evenly.
- Chill and Serve:
- Refrigerate the assembled dessert for another hour, or until the chocolate topping is set.
- Cut into squares and serve chilled.
