Loaded French Fries Casserole
Ingredients:
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen French fries
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 cup dill pickles, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Cook French Fries: Spread the frozen French fries on a baking sheet and bake according to package instructions until crispy and golden brown.
- Prepare Beef Mixture:
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- Assemble the Casserole:
- Once the fries are done, lower the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C).
- In a 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the cooked French fries.
- Spread half of the ground beef mixture over the fries.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Add a layer of diced pickles and diced tomatoes.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining fries, beef mixture, and cheddar cheese.
- Bake the Casserole: Place the assembled casserole in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with additional diced pickles and tomatoes if desired.
