  • Optional toppings: sour cream, jalapeño slices, salsa, or guacamole

Method

  1. Prepare the beef filling:
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, onion, and garlic, and cook until the beef is browned and crumbly. Drain any excess fat. Stir in the taco seasoning and water, simmering for 3–4 minutes until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. Assemble the taco cups:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a muffin tin. Place one wonton wrapper into each cup, pressing gently to form a shell. Add a spoonful of the beef mixture and a sprinkle of cheese. Place a second wonton wrapper on top, then repeat with more beef and cheese.

  3. Bake:
Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the wrappers are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  4. Add toppings:
Remove the taco cups from the oven and let them cool slightly. Garnish with diced tomatoes, fresh cilantro, and any optional toppings like sour cream, salsa, or guacamole.
