Ingredients:

  • Dry Ingredients:
    • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 tsp baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp baking soda
    • Pinch of salt
  • Wet Ingredients:
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 3 large eggs
    • 1 cup fresh orange juice
    • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
    • 1 tsp orange zest (optional for extra flavor)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease three 6-inch round cake pans.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients:
    In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until fluffy. Slowly add the vegetable oil and orange juice, mixing well. If using orange zest, stir it in.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients:
    Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold this mixture into the wet ingredients until smooth.
  4. Pour the Batter:
    Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  5. Bake:
    Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool and Serve:
    Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Slice, serve, and enjoy this citrusy delight!
